Details of the next Safety in Stumblers meeting

Hi everyone,

I thought that I'd let you know about the next meeting of Safety in Stumblers. The meeting will take place between 7-9pm on Monday 6 February in the Library in Waxy O'Connors Bar, 44 West George Street, Glasgow, just next to Queen Street station. Please see the following website for directions:

   http://www.waxyoconnors.co.uk/glasgow/index.asp

This month we are pleased to confirm that Peter McDermott is to give a talk about Developmental Behavioural Modelling or DBM. Peter has been interested in behaviour modelling for some time now and in particular how remodelling can change behaviour with particular reference to communication. More information on DBM can be found on the Sensory Systems website  (http://www.sensorysystems.co.uk/ ) but it can be seen as a bit like Neuro-Linguistic Programming. This was developed in the 1970's by Richard Bandler and studies the structure of how people think and experience the world and is concerned about how things work rather than theoretical explanations of them. Its aim is to provide skills and models to improve the quality and effectiveness of communication.

Interested to find out more? Peter will discuss DBM in detail and he is glad to answer any of your questions. Indeed if your brave you may even volunteer to work with Peter.

John Mann
