If you are a BSA member living in Scotland, you can nominate yourself to stand for election to the BSA Scotland Committee.
If you are a BSA member living in Scotland, you can still nominate yourself to stand for election to the BSA Scotland Committee – but the closing date of 23rd June is approaching!
Two spaces are up for election this year and applications from adults who stammer, parents of stammering children and speech and language therapists are welcome.
The BSA Scotland Committee has primary responsibility for determining the future direction and priorities of BSA Scotland. Committee members attend two Saturday meetings in Edinburgh per annum (Spring and Autumn), participate on at least one sub- committee (strategy and policy, events, fund-raising, projects) and are encouraged to attend, where possible, BSA Scotland events.
If there are more nominations than places, a postal election will be held amongst Scottish BSA members over the summer.
New appointments to the BSA Scotland Committee must be ratified by the BSA General Committee. Successful candidates will take their place on the Committee at its September 2006 meeting (date tbc).
If you would like to nominate yourself, please contact BSA Scotland to request a nomination form or, alternatively, print off and complete the form on the website (pdf file), and return it to BSA Scotland, 8 Barclay Terrace, Edinburgh EH10 4HP to arrive no later than 23rd June 2006.
If you would like to discuss what would be involved in being a member of the committee, please contact Scottish Development Manager, Jan Anderson, in the first instance:
